Last Wednesday night, 5th April 2023 a beautiful and solemn Eucharistic mass of the BLESSING OF HOLY OIL AND RENEWAL OF PRIESTLY VOWS took place. More than 90 priests from different parishes of Chiangmai Diocese gathered around H.E. Bishop Francis Xavier Vira Arporndratana to start the TRIDUUM. The Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral was filled with the parishioners, students and different religious communities. The CHRISM MASS as it is called is to consecrate the oil which will be used during the year. There are 3 different oils for different uses: Oil for the Holy Chrism, Oil for the Sick and the Oil for the Catechumens. The renewal of priestly promises was done with great solemnity. It was concluded with the Announcements of new assignments, changes and appointment of the diocesan and religious priests. We are thankful to our Bishop and each and every single priest for their priestly service to the people of God. We ask God to bless them and Mary to protect them always as a loving Mother of Jesus.
